Odd things can spark a chain of thoughts. I was folding clothes and picked up my engineer hubby’s t-shirt that sports the message “I am the warranty” on the back. It makes his engineer heart sing to fix things, which he loves to do. I thought of verses like 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, “And it is God who

Sorry I haven’t been posting regularly, but I’ve been busy with my book about Jonah. I’m in the process of writing the last chapter, and I’ll probably add a chapter of historical notes. After that I’ll be getting a book cover done and deciding whether to include maps. Here’s a snippet from Chapter 4, after Jonah has

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. The last few weeks have been busy with unexpected “duties as assigned.” Yet another friend is seriously ill (third one this year), and we’re processing that. My hubby remembered a song, “Jesus, Lover of My Soul,” which had meant a lot to me almost twenty years ago when I had

I love this cover of “Simple Gifts” by cellist Steven Sharp Nelson. It speaks to me of life and love. On this Thanksgiving Day, let’s be grateful for all the simple gifts with which we are blessed.
Milton has come and gone (whew!). We were relatively unaffected, so we were blessed to be able to lend a helping hand to others. There’s still a lot of need out there, since Hurricane Helene also caused a lot of damage only two weeks before Milton. Now that things have settled down a bit, here’s an update
