Have you ever wanted to do something, but been afraid to try? Or, do you compare your attempts to others, and feel like you might as well go home? I think we all struggle with that from time to time.
But the truth is everyone started somewhere. Even the best had to start from ground zero and learn. And it probably took time and many failed attempts before they got it, unless they’re a prodigy. So just because you’re not “there” yet doesn’t mean you won’t be, someday, if you’ll just keep trying.
And what if you aren’t eventually able to do something the way others do? Well, maybe you can do something that they can’t. Think about that.
The apostle Paul said that he was pressing on toward his goal, which was to follow Jesus. Like him, we need that perseverance and determination to keep on trying, and become the person God designed us to be.
