Have you ever felt unqualified to do something, or like your contribution didn’t amount to much? I know I have. But often God calls us to do things we don’t feel confident to do so His power can be demonstrated.
2 Peter 1:3 says, “Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.” (The Passion Translation) If we belong to Him, He is living inside us, enabling us to do what He’s created us to do. We don’t have to rely on our own abilities – we just have to rely on Him. And the point is not the success or failure of what we do. The real point is not to bring attention to ourselves, but that we’re doing it with Him and through Him so that God gets the credit.
So if God is calling you to do something, trust Him and take that leap of faith.
