The verse of the day on my Bible app was Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.” Not always easy when things aren’t going well. It easier to focus on the difficulties and disappointments. But that verse won’t go away, and it says, always. So what do I do?
Remember. In Psalm 77, Asaph says even when things look bleak, he’ll remember the good things and the wonders God has done in the past. Sometimes, when it’s hard, I think we need the LORD to help us remember. And that is a prayer I believe He’ll always answer.
So in the waiting and remembering, when it may feel like we’re stumbling along, we can “offer up a sacrifice of praise to God”, and praise Him for Who He is (Hebrews 13:15). Ask Him to remind us of His faithfulness to us and to others around us, what He’s done in us, and how far He’s brought us.
