There are days it’s hard to feel God’s presence. Hearing loss has impacted my ability to have quiet time with the Lord. I used to go on a walk in our neighborhood listening to and singing worship music. Lately that has been fraught with difficulty because music doesn’t necessarily sound like it’s supposed to.
I’m grateful I can trust that He’s with me because He promised, and He doesn’t go back on His promises. In His word it says that He’ll never leave us or forsake us; and more than that, His Spirit lives in all those who trust in Jesus. You can’t get closer than that. It’s not based on whether I feel it or not, but on His faithfulness, always. And if you’ve ever felt the same way, that includes you, too, simply because He said so. Just keep seeking Him, and I believe you’ll find Him.
