Milton has come and gone (whew!). We were relatively unaffected, so we were blessed to be able to lend a helping hand to others. There’s still a lot of need out there, since Hurricane Helene also caused a lot of damage only two weeks before Milton.
Now that things have settled down a bit, here’s an update on what’s going on with my writing.
First, I’m getting back to writing the story of the prophet Jonah. I’m somewhere around the halfway point, where he’s finally beginning his journey to Nineveh after he ran away and got to know a gre at fish better than he’d ever imagined. You might say he got the inside story.
The second bit of news is that I’m going to be bringing copies of my three books for sale at the Holiday Bazaar at First Lutheran Church here in Clearwater. My latest book, “Search For a King: The Star Rises,” is a fictional account of what it might have been like for the Wise Men who came to visit Jesus after His birth. Great read or gift to get you into the Christmas spirit. It’s hard to believe Christmas will be here in just a few weeks!

The last thing I’d like to encourage you to prayerfully participate in the coming election. Look at what the candidates say, but also look at what they do and at their character. I’m grateful that we have this opportunity, and pray for God’s best for our nation.
